In November 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published an article, proposing an idea of point-to-point e-cash payment system, which is bitcoin. In January 2009, the foundation block was dug up by Satoshi Nakamoto himself, which announces the birth of bitcoin.
Bitcoin network is based on blockchain technology, which doesn’t require the participation of central institution such as government or enterprises. However, it needs people to use the computing ability of computing devices to maintain the network. The computing devices will be rewarded by bitcoin (mining).
However, the total amount of bitcoin is limited, only 21 million in total, and it will never be issued. Therefore, bitcoin enjoys the reputation of “digital gold”. Since the birth of bitcoin, the price of bitcoin has risen hundreds of thousands of times.
